Fake Kozmo Leaks Cause TCGplayer Panic Ahead of Beyond the Brave
A recent wave of supposed Kozmo leaks has sent the secondary market into a frenzy, causing several TCGplayer stores to temporarily de-list their inventory in anticipation of price spikes. The rumors, which spread rapidly across social media in early June 2026, claimed that brand-new support for the fan-favorite archetype would debut in the upcoming set Beyond the Brave.
However, experts quickly debunked the magazine images as clever forgeries. The fake scans were riddled with formatting errors, lacked the essential "BETB-JP" set ID, and suspiciously reused exact Japanese translations of existing cards. For instance, the supposed new Field Spell was simply the Japanese text for Kozmotown, while another matched the name of Kozmo Goodwitch. Furthermore, the inclusion of copyright warnings typically reserved for official web platforms, rather than print publications, proved the leaks were entirely fabricated.
Despite the swift debunking, the "Great Kozmo Scare" successfully disrupted the market as players and vendors scrambled to secure copies of older cards. As Duelists eagerly await genuine reveals for Beyond the Brave, they will need to keep a cautious eye out to avoid getting burned by convincingly edited rumors.
