Chaos Origins Ushers in Series 14 for the TCG
The upcoming release of Chaos Origins is officially ushering the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG into Series 14, with a full Tournament Store Launch scheduled for July 1, 2026, and a general release on July 3, 2026. This landmark set is breaking decades of tradition by abandoning the classic green color scheme of starting sets in favor of a striking purple design. Furthermore, the booster packs will proudly feature the iconic character Yami Yugi alongside the powerful new cover card, Black Chaos the Dark Chaos Magician.
Packed with 100 cards, Chaos Origins is bringing massive visual and mechanical changes to the game, including the introduction of five frame-breaking extended art cards. Fans of retro strategies will be thrilled to see reimagined versions of classic Ritual Monsters like Magician of Black Chaos and Black Luster Soldier via the new Ritual of Light and Darkness theme. The booster will also introduce the brand-new Thunder-based Blitzclique archetype and provide highly anticipated support for Sacred Beasts.
Perhaps the most exciting reveal is the new wave of Invoked support, giving players an entirely fresh way to utilize Aleister the Invoker. The strategy receives four new Fusion Monsters, headlined by the devastating Invoked Transcendence Aeon. This Level 10 boss requires Fusion Monsters with different Attributes as material, and rewards players by banishing cards from the opponent's Extra Deck while simultaneously shifting the Attributes of all face-up monsters on the field. Duelists will undoubtedly be eager to test these game-changing mechanics when the set officially drops this summer.
