Master Duel April Banlist: Cupsy☆Yummy Limited!
Konami has officially updated the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Forbidden & Limited list for the start of the April 2026 ranked season. The new banlist, which was announced on March 26 and implemented in-game on April 1, takes direct aim at the highly represented Yummy engine while rebalancing a few nostalgic pieces.
The most impactful change of the update is the strict limitation of Cupsy☆Yummy, which drops all the way from Unlimited to Limited. As a critical piece of the overarching Yummy engine, this hit drastically reduces the consistency of decks looking to splash the package for easy, generic advantage.
Additionally, the update includes a slight rework for Millennium-focused strategies. Treasures of the Kings has been Semi-Limited (3 to 2), slightly reducing access to the archetype's powerful backrow. To compensate, Golem that Guards the Millennium Treasures has been completely freed from the list, moving from Limited directly to Unlimited (1 to 3).
With the ubiquitous Yummy engine taking a major consistency hit, players will have to adapt quickly as they climb the April ranked ladder. Duelists will be closely watching to see if prominent meta contenders like Dracotail and Radiant Typhoon seize undisputed control of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel format this month.
