The European competitive scene witnessed an incredible display of strategy during the Challenger Cup EU May 16/17th 2026 tournament, streamed live on the JoshuaSchmidtYGO channel. The single-elimination, 512-player bracket brought out fiercely competitive Duelists, but it was an unexpected archetype that ultimately took the crown. Defying expectations, player legsYGO claimed 1st place with a brilliant Magnet Warrior deck, proving that vintage rocks can still crush the current meta.

legsYGO's innovative list combined foundational monsters like Beta The Electromagnet Warrior and Epsilon The Magnet Warrior with powerful support such as Magnet Warrior Sigma Minus and Magnet Warrior Omega Plus. They fortified their strategy by splashing in the Adamancipator and Koa'ki Meiru archetypes using Adamancipator Researcher and Koa'ki Meiru Guardian. Opponents were kept at bay with premium hand traps including Mulcharmy Fuwalos, Droll & Lock Bird, and Maxx "C".
