Legendary ARC-V Decks Crash Yu-Gi-Oh Secondary Market

I’ve spent the last year watching local players pull their hair out trying to afford a competitive hand trap lineup, so seeing Konami drop the Legendary ARC-V Decks box set on August 7, 2026, feels like a fever dream. For a retail price of $31.99, you get three 55-card strategies themed after the dimensional arcs of the anime: Odd-Eyes, Lunalight, and Speedroid. But let’s be honest with ourselves. Nobody is buying this product to play Pendulum combos at their next regional. The real story here is the absolute demolition of the secondary market's paywall.
Budget duelists have been begging for relief from the suffocating prices of the Mulcharmy series. Konami answered by scattering Mulcharmy Purulia, Mulcharmy Fuwalos, and Mulcharmy Meowls as commons across the three decks. If that wasn’t enough, modern Extra Deck powerhouses like S:P Little Knight, Chaos Angel, and Triple Tactics Thrust have also received the common treatment. Seeing S:P Little Knight, a card that commanded a massive premium for months, printed as a bulk common is the kind of aggressive reprinting we desperately need to keep local scenes healthy.
While the staple reprints are stealing the spotlight, the actual decks aren’t completely devoid of competitive interest. The Odd-Eyes deck introduces Odd-Eyes Override Dragon, a new Link-3 monster that facilitates Pendulum plays by blowing up your own cards to draw, and finally imports Odd-Eyes Solblaze Dragon from its long-delayed promo prison in the East. Lunalight and Speedroid get their own custom support too, but their real value is serving as delivery vehicles for playsets of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and Infinite Impermanence. It is a fantastic box that instantly lowers the cost of competitive entry, and if you have been sitting on expensive Extra Deck singles hoping they would hold their value, I have some very bad news for your trade binder.
