Master Duel Version 2.7.0 Brings Highly Requested Features

Konami has officially rolled out Version 2.7.0 for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, delivering a massive wave of visual and quality-of-life updates that players have been requesting for years. The highlight of the April 30 update is the new ability to assign separate card protectors to the Main Deck and Extra Deck, allowing duelists to customize their cosmetic loadouts with even more precision.

Visual upgrades take center stage in this patch, with Borrelend Dragon finally receiving its own Summon cut-in animation, and the classic Mystical Space Typhoon getting an updated activation effect. Furthermore, monsters with Summon animations will now trigger those cinematic cut-ins when Flip Summoned, adding an extra layer of flair to the board. The update also introduces a new in-game font and expands the home screen to support a random rotation of up to 10 different wallpapers.

On the gameplay and deck-building side, a new 'Activation Order Settings' toggle lets players manually decide the trigger order for effects activating at the start of the Battle Phase. Deck builders can also utilize advanced filters to sort their collections by alternate artwork, visual effects, and victory animations. With these structural improvements, the digital client is setting a fantastic foundation for whatever competitive events drop next month.
