Beyond the Brave Reveals Angelechy and World Premieres

Full spoilers for the upcoming core booster Beyond the Brave have surfaced ahead of its October 9 launch, locking in all 16 TCG World Premiere cards. Headlining the exclusive lineup is Angelechy, a brand-new archetype revolving around cycling monster cards between the Spell and Trap Zones and the Extra Deck, showcased on support spells like Angelechy Brilliant Move. Unlike standard pack filler that often pads out the back end of core sets, this batch delivers immediate competitive theorycrafting across multiple deck builds.
The real standout for generic deckbuilding is Kumenyo, the Nine-Hued Deer, a Rank 4 Xyz monster capable of attaching cards directly from the hand, Graveyard, or banishment as a Quick Effect. Stacking three different Monster Types turns Kumenyo into an effect-immune boss that lets you draw two cards during your normal Draw Phase, creating a potent midrange snowball engine for rank-four decks that can easily diversify typings. Trap strategies also picked up heavy utility in Audhumla, Progenitor of the Frozen Expanse, which flips face-down to shield your backrow from targeting and destruction while cycling dead cards into fresh draws and free WATER special summons.
Rounding out the wave are targeted tech options like Archidux, the Squid Sorcerer for WATER Link engines, Half Slice of Nickeline for Rock setups, and Kerolia the Frolicsome. With the recent banlist resetting the Advanced format, these premieres give duelists plenty of brewing ammunition before regional tournament tables get tested next month.
